Kephalovryso Monument
Title
Kephalovryso Monument
Description
Outside the city office building in Kephalovryso is a war monument that still receives active wreath commemoration at the time of the celebrations of ΟΧΙ day. The low pediment, faced with marble has inscriptions listing the names of local inhabitants who died in wars Greece has been involved in. The central panel under relief stele bears a poetic inscription that is not readable at this time, and indicates the dedicator of the monument. The carved stone relief above is an abstract representation of bodies and horizontal lines.
